Yippie!!! we hit the special Gall Bladder recovery two week mark!
I graduated from wearing mask around loved one and the rooms she frequented for two weeks after her surgery. No problem wearing mask .. comparable to having to wear reading glasses... I will have no problem masking for loved one again inside home if I ever feel she could have been exposed to airborne illness or airborne disease if she ever has to have surgery or dental needs again.
.
She had follow up appointment today. We wear masks and as usual I always get the jitters and nervous worrying if people will mask for us at the doctors office visits when handling my loved one... however the pre-jitters weren't nearly as bad because I pretty much have the doctor, the physician assistant, and nurses trained to mask for us at that place.
The waiting room which is kind the worst part for me psychologically to have to sit amongst maskless people wasn't crowded. One person came in and sat way across the room. They weigh her and then I tell the nurse as we enter the examination room "As usual , we prefer you mask for us , if that's alright" and she complied quite gracefully and checked my loved ones vitals and such while masked. We remained masked of course through it all. I periodically try to wash hands of loved one and my own and even spray some rubbing alcohol here and there on objects we sit in.
Then as nurse leaves examination room I say to her "please remind the doctor(the physicians assistant) of our masking preferences and we prefer he mask" The examination went great and my loved one has recovered from gall bladder sure quite well. Evidently there were a lot of gallstones in there and it can be dangerous not to do surgery so I'm glad we got the surgery and it was successful. (as usual we drive home and throw clothes in wash, washing hands a lot and finally taking mask off last before showering)
Here's the deal, airborne illness and airborne disease is the 'Achilles heel' and the weak link in the chain for all healthcare and people. Masking and taking extra precautions is well worth the effort. My loved one just turned 78 for her to get pneumonia or influenza could kill her besides I don't want that stuff either.. I hate suffering and I have rational fear about the long term repercussions many of today's viruses can carry...I just don't like to take those kinds of chances so I mask... Masking for me is nothing. Ive been doing it so long and I mask while doing hard outdoor vigorous work so having a mask on for hours is nothing to me.

P.S. I did take my inquiry and questions for the doctors and physicians assistance down and deleted these comments off of their Youtube sites.. but I left my public inquiry and concerns and questions here in my previous replies in this thread because they are good questions healthcare should answer too.
I hope my experience helps someone at this site with their journey. It helped me tremendously to share my feelings and views as a person concerned with viruses, as a person who 'masks', and a caregiver on this site and I thank viewers and readers for allowing me the opportunity to share my feeling, thoughts, and what I went through and my ideas during my loved one's Gall Bladder surgery and her recovery.
