Wyoming Mountain Lion tests positive for H5N1

SUMMARY - A mountain lion carcass in Wyoming tested positive for H5N1 in early April 2023. There were dead geese reportedly in the area that the mountain lion was found but how the mountain lion contracted H5N1 is not known. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department (WGFD) is not considering H5N1 a major concern yet.
