Here's a little sports trivia history:
 
Just a little break from illnesses to honor the past athletes who succumbed to traumatic encephalopathy (We will honor 2025's athletes with traumatic encephalopathy at a later date)

SUMMARY:
a Lengthy List of NFL players with chronic traumatic encephalopathy
 
The list includes:
Deceased players with CTE confirmed post-mortem,
Deceased players suspected of having had CTE,
Living former players diagnosed with CTE or ALS or reporting symptoms consistent with CTE or ALS,
& Former players listed as plaintiffs in lawsuits against the NFL for brain injuries suffered while playing,

UCLA leading up to the Saturday, February 8th game against Penn State was dealing with a team wide illness. Believe it or not they were still able to beat PSU. Covid protocols were used during this time. At least 1 of the players who was sick had Norovirus.

...interesting to note that it is a university team that openly declares what the illness is; namely that it is whooping cough while the professional team players who make money playing sports merely state they have an "illness"...
...makes ya wonder if a bunch of the professional players also have whooping cough and are just stating it is an "illness".
