Measles case confirmed in Rhode Island, first reported case since 2013. This case was in a young child who was unvaccinated for the virus.

An Alaska resident was hospitalized with measles on January 10th, 2025 after traveling home from Seattle.

On January 17th, 2025 The Houston Health Department has confirmed 2 measles cases, this is the first time Houston has had a case since 2018. Both patients are adults who traveled internationally and live in the same household.

Measles continues to grow in Texas, this week Gaines County, Texas reported six confirmed cases of measles. Most are school-aged children. There are additional cases under investigation by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
