SUMMARY - In the country of India, the state of Kerala is reporting over 1,600 suspected cases of dengue fever this month, for a total of over 22,000 cases for 2024 so far. 22 people in that state have lost their lives to confirmed cases of dengue fever this year.

SUMMARY - In the state of Karnataka, officials report that there have now been 9,000 dengue cases with 7 deaths for this year. 353 of these cases have needed to be hospitalized with 119 of those hospitalizations occurring within the past 24 hours.

SUMMARY - In the state of Maharashtra, the city of Nashik is dealing with 103 cases of Dengue Fever in the past week alone. The government response to this outbreak has been for the Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) sending 62 teams to over 18,000 households to identify and eradicate possible breeding sites for mosquitoes, amongst other activities.
