I have no other information except for the following tidbits:
** Covid-19 was initially described as a "mystery pneumonia" or "mysterious pneumonia" as well. It would be premature to call what is being described here as the 'next' Covid. However, the situation also bears watching as China was not transparent during the initial stages of Covid-19.
** Perhaps in a bid to ease fears (or be more accurate?), I have seen this also described as 'undiagnosed pneumonia.' I'm not sure exactly what the semantics mean from a clinical or diplomatic sense; Perhaps it is the same type of rebranding done with "Mpox" (formerly Monkeypox).
** This situation has been widely reported and the one link that I provided is just one of perhaps a dozen or more at this point. However, a lot of those links tend to be copies of the same basic information and presumably from the same sources. Until more sources can speak of this situation, caution as to the accuracy of the reports might be prudent.
