This hits home for us all and me as well...
My mother was a victim of cancer who has currently been cleared of cancer by doctors.

Because of the pandemic, the contagiousness of covid, the risks and repercussions of catching covid and our local healthcare's inability to protect us from airborne illness by masking its patients and the reluctance  of staff to mask and take other precautions  my immunocompromised loved one and I have had a challenging time attending all the healthcare facilities for regular screenings and testing recommended  for cancer so this is a fearful fate that my loved one also could fall victim to.

It is not an easy thing weighing the odds of either exposing my elderly immunocompromised loved one to airborne illnesses during waves of covid infections
In a predominately maskless doctors office full of individuals seeking various diagnosis and medical treatment and unsanitary waiting rooms and seats.. does one risk all that aforementioned  for a 79 years elderly immunocompromised loved one to simply get screened regularly for cancer? Exposing loved one to airborne viruses for the sake of medical attention is a no win situation.. Tough decisions in tough times.
