Sam Moore from the popular group Sam & Dave died on Friday January 10th 2025. He was 89 years 0ld at this time he is said to have died at his home in Florida after having an unspecified surgery but no cause of death was given.

Leslie Charleson, ‘General Hospital’ Icon Who Played Monica Quartermaine, Dies at 79. It was announced that she died on Sunday morning January 12th 2025. It is not 100% clear the cause of death but she did suffer many falls and the most recent one hospitalized her and then she died. There must have been severe complications from the most recent fall leading up to her death.

Musician Peter Yarrow ’59, who drew early inspiration from his time at Cornell before joining the legendary folk trio Peter, Paul and Mary, died Jan. 7 in Manhattan. He was 86.

George Wendt, Cheers star dies at 76

George Wendt, who starred as Norm Peterson in the popular comedy series Cheers, has died at the age of 76.

The beloved actor and comedian died peacefully in his sleep at his home early on Tuesday morning, his family said.

"George was a doting family man, a well-loved friend and confidant to all of those lucky enough to have known him. He will be missed forever," a representative told the BBC.

Wendt starred as Norm in all 275 episodes of Cheers, which ran from 1982-93. He earned six consecutive Emmy nominations for outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series.
