Alexander Zverev battles illness in Hamburg defeat: he threw up 37 times before the match.

He said the following about this.

“For the fact that I threw up 37 times and had a fever of 39.4 degrees all night, that’s actually quite okay. I think there are two players in the whole world who would have taken to the court today. I’m one of them. And I’m really proud of that.”

.. he's proud!? He's proud of being a  masochist I guess.. this is masochism in the sense that masochism refers to the enjoyment of experiencing pain. Maybe its even more than masochism because he tends to embrace sickness as well as pain. Thats some serious weirdness. You gotta admit to embrace pain and sickness and to actually be proud of it is weirder than the weirdest of sex stuff..its just not natural and actually a person like that should be on suicide watch..

...I mean a person who is proud of pain and illness could very well be considered suicidal to some degree. They certainly aren't taking aims to preserve their well being or preserve their very atoms from not withering and succumbing to disease or illness. Its pretty creepy to not have an inherent aversion to pain or illness in my book. One has to ask themselves is a person like that safe to be around others? To me That's pretty scary to be around a sick animal.

I certainly couldn't handle being around a sick person like that. I'd freak out! I guess that's why I wisely wear a mask! I prefer the euphoric sense of pleasure I get from being healthy.. I am hedonist in the sense I prefer pleasure and don't prefer pain nor do I like the feeling of nausea or feverishness which is probably the number one reason I mask!

I can't believe that guy
"threw up 37 times"! I can't stand being sick to my stomach .. "37 times"?! That's just messed up in the body and the head. Anybody that throws up 37 times is usually just happy to be alive if they survive that.. there's just no way ..37 times in what time frame!? that's beyond crazy.

There's just no reason or justification for such suicidal behavior.. I mean if somebody was sick and they somehow saved 50 lives while they were sick I guess you could call that heroism but a sick person just stands to make others sick so its pretty unrealistic for a person to endure pain and agony and even possibly death due to overexertion just for tennis game. Its not like he threw his body on top of an exploding grenade to save his troop or anything...It just doesn't prove much and he's just "trying to hard" its not impressive behavior..its alarming behavior to say the least.

37 times is more than a lot.. after awhile one actually dehydrates and simply doesn't have anything to throw up. I guess he was dry gagging after awhile. To simply stay alive you'd almost have to have an IV needle stuck in your arm to stay hydrated after 37 throw ups! He might be not even be telling the truth because most people wouldn't be standing after that... It's certainly nothing to brag about. He should be telling a doctor about it not sports spectators  ...to throw up that many times is well beyond the recommended amount of vomiting it takes to go to hospital.

Jade Carey was impacted by illness at gymnastics qualifying session

“I had, like, no energy today and didn’t really have a sense of what was going on in my head. So, I just kind of wanted people to know that so, they know that there’s actually something wrong,” Carey said.

...as if doing acrobatic flips in the air isn't crazy enough they must do it while sick!? I hate to think what else people do while being sick(like working in the government trying to govern people or serving food in a school cafeteria or something). Some kindly advice to these acrobats

...Masked Man is just going to step in here now and be the father figure so sorely needed here that seems to be lacking in this arena.. I mean seriously who else is going to make a stand for these poor abused athletes ...

Dear Jade,
I'm concerned for your health and others.
Please "Take a break before you break something dear.. don't jade yourself by performing sick Jade!"

Hope ya didn't make anybody else sick hugging on other team players and what have you at the olympics. I hate to say it but So far the olympics at least in the recent years has proved a great breeding grounds for viruses.

Maybe ya ought to isolate yourself for awhile since you yourself have admitted
"I just have not been feeling well the past few days and haven’t been able to eat or anything,” Jade Carey said". To be fair, You wouldn't wish that on someone else would you?

Seems kind of cruel to go out and make others sick if what you've got is contagious especially if its covid. You might make others suffer for the the rest of their lives with long covid.. you just don't know what your doing risking covid for yourself and others. Aren't you scared? you should be..I would be.
You mentioned: “I had, like, no energy today and didn’t really have a sense of what was going on in my head"

... Masked Man says you didn't have a sense of what was going on in your head!? I'm sorry but that's more than a red flag. Isolate yourself and seek medical attention immediately.. you're obviously sick!!! This is just dangerous. Stop trying to prove yourself. You might just wind up another casualty in a pandemic. That's no way to live. Sorry for judging but if you say yourself that you don't feel right in the head then that's an official cry for help if I ever heard one.

Hope its nothing serious and you recover but please seek help by someone other than your coach perhaps medical attention from a medical facility that is independent from the olympics .. you know, not olympic doctors but real doctors(don't take your coach with you,,and don't drive yourself..get somebody to drive you there and I highly recommend wearing masks and have driver wear mask to be on safe side) , You don't want to live life not being of sound body or mind,

If I were your father or the newscaster I'd drop everything and take ya to the doctors! Shame on this industry not taking care of their athletes! These athletes aren't machines they are beautiful people often with years ahead of them..It's sick and beyond uncaring to let people play sick.

Please be good to yourself,
The Masked Man

P.S.
How common is paralysis from gymnastics?
According to The National Spinal Cord Injury Statistical Center, gymnastics account for . 10% of 8.39% of the sports injuries that cause SCI.,

You don't want to do gymnastics sick..trust me... too might fall on your head...

I’m sorry but spectators and the crowd are acting like they are bloodthirsty in a colosseum watching Roman gladiators .. this is not love of life to push these girls to do all this when they are sick. It’s just not right to pretend everything is okay.. it’s monaterous not to care for the youth and watch out for them and accept bodily limitations and the fact that we are only human.. we aren’t super heros and heroines  all destined to receive the gold medal. We need to love one another to know when to stop taking things and each other beyond the limit. We have to stop pushing one another to the brink .. we are only human.
..anyway that’s how this individual feels for what it’s worth I see so much anger and pain  in the faces of these athletes.

If there were any therapists viewing this thread I’d like to hear the viewpoints from a therapist or psychologist if they think this is self destructive suicidal behavior for people to push themselves so when their bodies are clearly crying out against them. Is it suicidal to ignore pain and discomfort and to put one in the face of danger while sick to engage in activities that do nothing but jeopardize their very being? I’d like to hear from a therapist or psychologist  about what they think.

I am more than willing to be labeled as overprotective by the masses.. I can think of worse things to be. I consider myself to be a protecter therefore being ‘overprotective’ would be a compliment.
For A healthy disease-free body is considered an ideal thing of beauty and much sought after in Greek times when the olympics was founded and even in today’s time the disease-free body is what we all tend to strive for.
