Columbus Crew lose Concacaf Champions Cup final to Pachuca
The Columbus Crew suffered a 3-0 defeat at Liga MX side Pachuca on Saturday evening, losing an opportunity to qualify for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup

The Columbus Crew SC’s recent loss in the CONCACAF Champions Cup soccer final against Pachuca has been overshadowed by allegations of potential misconduct, reports The Athletic, the sports department of The New York Times...

...According to the article, Crew head coach Wilfried Nancy said that a significant portion of his team suffered from food poisoning, with many players experiencing diarrhea and other symptoms in the 48 hours before the final. “My players gave everything knowing that they were sick,” Nancy told reporters. “All the team had diarrhea since yesterday, the staff also.”

Masked Man sports commentary: "playing soccer with diarrhea"!? My God! I can't even imagine that must have been an awful game! that brings stoicism to an entirely new level.

Better luck next year and try bringing a sacked lunch from home next time around boys!

..never heard it said that way before "has avoided a diagnosis of Measles"  Not sure what that means.. sounds like sports associates have several sets of doctors and perhaps use a first set of mock doctors that don't test for anything then they conveniently get a second opinion later for a mere "opinion" if you ask me but what do  know!?

Measles can be misdiagnosed ...
Measles can be confused with other illnesses, including Kawasaki disease, dengue and scarlet fever, among others, because of its common presentation as a rash accompanied by fever. Measles may in some cases be difficult to distinguish from other causes of febrile illnesses with rash, and infections with rubella, parvovirus B19, human herpes virus type 6 (HHV-6) and dengue can easily be mistaken for measles. Diagnosis relies on laboratory tests".

How do doctors confirm measles"?
"Confirmation of the diagnosis of measles is performed on oral fluid or serum samples at the reference laboratory (IDU). In acute cases measles RNA can also be detected in clinical specimens".

For a second opinion from other doctors... The second set of doctors determined somehow perhaps through tests..(they don't tell us if these second set of doctors actually used tests or not any more than the first set of doctors)
has determined he has "high Flu"

what is a high flu fever?
Most flu-related fevers range from a low-grade fever around 100 degrees to as high as 104 degrees. Although alarming, it's not uncommon for young children to have higher fevers than adults. If you suspect your child has the flu, see their doctor.

I dunno How can you tell the second set of doctors are any better than the first set if they don't talk about how the players were diagnosed by either set of doctors such as if tests are involved? This sounds like doctor second "opinions' and doesn't sound like doctor "facts' or scientific testing was done or else they would say that they used a test. If I were a doctor or even if I was a quack I'd use a test... I would say that "I used such and such a test to determine his illness". I'd at least pretend to be a doctor and quote the latest technology and the test I using that helped me arrive to my scientific conclusions! Call me a conspiracy theorist, but what kind of doctor misdiagnosis measles on a super star prize winning workhorse with today's tests and technology available? Misdiagnosis's are dangerous. These sound like dangerous doctors to be honest. I'd like to see them show the test results like Data Report does on you tube out of good faith. I respect that kind of openness and honesty and how Data Report educates the general public about how these tests work.

We take advantage of a bad situation or a problem and we share and learn together online and turn lemons into lemonade, That's called "learning to roll with the punches",

The Masked Man

P.S. for the record (correct me if I am wrong) so far I haven't heard a single statement in regards to 'tests' in any of the players who are suffering from 'illness' or flu. I haven't heard a single statement as in "tested positive" for this or "negative" for that. It's as if 'testkits' don't exist whatsoever. Readers: Correct me if I am wrong about this but I haven't found a single acknowledgment from players, coaches or their doctors in regards to as if "tests' even exist in this day and age for them.
