SUMMARY - The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is warning consumers not to eat frozen sprouted moong (mung) beans and frozen sprouted moth (mat) beans sold under the Deep brand after a Salmonella outbreak sickened at least 11 people across 10 states. Illnesses have been reported in Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia and Washington. At least four people have been hospitalized, though no deaths have been reported.

SUMMARY - Nearly 100 people have gotten sick in a possible salmonella outbreak from eggs sold by Country Eggs, LLC from the state of California. 18 people have been hospitalized. People who have bought the eggs that have since been recalled are urged to either throw them out or take them back to the store in order to receive a refund.

SUMMARY - Salmonella has been found in ready-to-eat meals from a company called "Metabolic Meals." The contamination has sickened 16 people across 10 states, with 7 of them needing to be hospitalized. All affected meals were delivered delivered directly to consumers' homes during the week of July 28, 2025, and had expiration dates ranging between August 5 and August 8, 2025. Illnesses were reported between July 25 and August 15.

SUMMARY - New York State has reported that a sample of raw milk produced within the state has tested positive for salmonella. Customers are urged to discard all "Yates County Farm"-branded raw milk immediately. The farm has been ordered to halt raw milk sales until testing shows the product is free of harmful bacteria. No illnesses have been reported.

SUMMARY - The consumption of raw oysters is the suspected culprit behind an outbreak of illnesses caused by salmonella. 64 people have reportedly fallen ill with 20 people hospitalized. 22 states are reportedly affected by the outbreak.

NOTE - Raw oysters. Raw milk. Is anyone noticing a trend?
