Thank you for adding this one, keep forgetting to share this outbreak on my pandemic update since I tweeted a story on it a few days ago.

I was not aware that this event was on your Twitter/X account but I am glad that you were aware of it previously.

I decided to include this development (and the commentary) to raise awareness that it is not just "accidental" outbreaks that our population should be made aware of. It is unfortunate that, despite our best efforts, viral and bacterial outbreaks occur.

Outbreaks that occur that are purposeful, though, because of ignorance are inexcusable. In the case of Covid-19, for example, prolonging a population's suffering because of anti-vaccine advocacy was inexcusable. So, too, for this bacterial outbreak of E. Coli because of the advocacy, manufacturing and consumption of unsafe dairy products.

It can not be stressed enough that raw milk and raw dairy products are dangerous to consume. If we are going to follow the science and advocate for vaccinations (which we absolutely should), we must also equally advocate for best practices in restricting what can and can not be consumed by individuals for the safety of the general public.

This incident involving raw dairy products did not occur in a vacuum; It consumed valuable scientific, medical and first-responder resources in order to identify and contain. Those same resources could have been better spent or reserved elsewhere. It would do every nation (not just the U.S.) well by banning such a practice. I hope that the readers here educate themselves on the many dangers of this 'health trend' and avoid it entirely.
