Polio - Sudan - Wastewater detection prompts vaccination campaign

SUMMARY - The country of Sudan has detected Polio in six wastewater samples, causing the Federal Ministry of Health to begin a polio vaccination campaign starting in April of 2024. For this latest round of polio vaccinations, Sudan will use the World Health Organization (WHO) approved Type 2 Novel Oral polio (nPOV2) vaccine.
