Blood shortage sparks 'crisis' at local blood banks

Blood donations are down about 35% in recent months.
Nationwide, about 400 blood drives were impacted or cancelled due to extreme winter weather last month alone, officials said, about three times as many as last year at this time.

Jan 22, 2026 Wear a mask to help prevent airborne illness during flu season while drawing blood... stop smiling and saying cheese for the camera! Who knows how many germs are on that pillow?! Nurse has enough sense to cover the germs on her hands with gloves how about going the full monty and covering her mouth so she don't get germs on the gloves!?
