SUMMARY - An individual, having returned to Australia from overseas, has been infected with MPox, Clade 1 (considered more severe than other strains). Authorities have stated that there is no threat to the public. This is the 2nd case of MPox in Australia for 2025, the first being in May and also being Clade 1.
