My concert includes:

"Im a Cat" written and performed by yours truly the Masked Man/ Richard Easley

"The Girl In The Velvet Band" ...I think its an old Irish tune  ...a traditional folk song collected from singers in Ireland describing how a young man is tricked and then sentenced to transportation to Australia, a common punishment in the British Empire during the 19th century.

"Alberta" a traditionally a blues tune I think but I've souped it a bit with electric guitar in my own style

"Race With The Devil" by Gene Vincent (Rockabilly)

"At Last" by Etta James the American blues and soul artist

"I Wants To Be Loved" Originally by Muddy Waters

Then we try to bring down the house with...

"Rockabilly Boogie by Johnny Burnett (Rockabilly)

Happy New Year 2026!!,

We honor Martin Luther King Day Peace & Love,

so I will go on automatic pilot and play online for you to simply decompress and maybe share a message of peace .. so much stress in the world it's easy to find an excuse to play some music. As usual I don't go out public to play .. that doesn't not sound relaxing whatsoever to me so you re in luck as  I simply stay here in my bedroom and jam for ya. It's fun to do completely spontaneous performances from home...

I feel like this song "Watching The Wheels" go by..  "Watching the Wheels" a single by John Lennon released posthumously in 1981, after his murder. 1975–1980, during which he retired from the music industry to concentrate on raising his son Sean
..an easy song for me to identify with because I  feel like living outside  the rat race .. I tend to glamorize being a drop out and focusing on simple things as I feel society is a complicated mess right now and moves  too fast for my tastes... ... lol so this was an easy song to feel and escape for awhile.. the US news is so bad the flu must be awful with RSV and covid continuing to loom..Ive got nothing to lose by  torturing you with some singing if you can stand it...

John Lennon was definitely into Peace and Love and also was sadly assassinated not unlike Martin Luther King

I definitely am not seeking fame or fortune or going out competing in the limelight with others. I encourage other musicians to do the same. Just jam out online! I'm not that great but at least I'm having a great time with ya...

Lets do that again but now I share with you some of the magic of being online.. Even though I am isolated (if you wanna call it that.. what some call isolation, I call heaven and peace) I still get to play with others! Not only that I get to play with all sorts of people..For instance in theis next one I am actually playing with some guy named Colin who is from the Worcester Ukulele Club so as you can see I don't have to leave the safety of my home to meet or play with other musicians as a matter of fact this guy sort of taught me how to play this song because He gave me the chords and music to this song online to play along.. all sorts of opportunities for musicians and artists to collaborate and learn from one another online remotely from the safety of their little home studios.. I'd say there are more opportunities to be had and more longevity as an artist or musician or thinker by sinking back into the comforts of one's own chair and  home and being creative online...

Now I sing it with Colin of the Worcester Ukulele Club! Ive never sang with anybody from Worcester before so I gotta admit it's pretty awesome for a guy like me hiding out in the mountains to get to sing with some ukulele playing dude who lives across the seas on the other side of the world!

So to celebrate diversity and hopefully harmony, another Martin Luther King theme and message we get to freely sing with a guy from another country! (I don't get tariffed or nothing for singing with this guy from another country..neither of us got tariffed for singing this song!  ;) I get to sing with Colin from across the seas!...

It only goes to show how we can share stuff we love online and simply have a grand old time online! Please be safe and share what you love online and remotely! To me it always better to live with what they call 'cabin fever' than to risk having a real fever.

Peace,
The Masked Man

P.S.
I'm trying to save some of these old rock star's lives.. Don't care what others think but I think my favorite musicians need to stay at home and write music and be creative from home studios and stay off the stage! That way they would live longer and produce more neat music for us. I don't see why they are onstage its just goofy because it ceases to be creative... it would be so much cooler to see these old rock stars be healthier and do work from there home studios and share online and maybe get ten to twenty more years of creative recorded music out of them I could listen to rather than watch them dance around singing the same old stuff. It would be so much better to hear some studio work that's creative. I bet they could produce some incredible music if they just stayed off the stage and worked from their own studios! Stay at home and write and compose some new stuff incorporate your music with neat videos and get creative take advantage!

As Usual
Be safe, if you must go out wear an n95 mask, otherwise stay home brothers and sisters.
I prefer to stay at home and jam from my bedroom for ya hoping you will share what you love, what interests you, and always try to work out problems and even your feelings remotely and creatively online!

For me I always  get a thrill jamming and messing with music for ya online! Thank you for letting me share safe online fun in the face of todays challenges. :) I don't like goin out there.. it's a hassle to me.. more fun is to be had from inside my home!

I don't understand why there is so much hurt in the world. I don't see the sense in half the stuff I'm seeing on the news today. There's got to be better ways of working things out than what I see. You catch more flies with honey anyway so I don't understand the violence on the news I'm seeing. Many of us don't choose violence or force to work out conflicts and its hard for many of us to witness all we see on the news right now. That's all I have to say for now and I bet a lot of people agree with me. Anyway my heart goes out to all victims of violence regardless of political views. I detest human suffering in any shape size or form. I hate viruses so therefore I hate violence too! On that note I most musicians don't have any problems with peaceful interaction..
.. why is that? Is it because all we music lovers share music from the heart and we are busy trying to simply not hit the wrong notes? Maybe there is something to be learned from today's troubadours and artists when it comes to peaceful conflict resolution. I sure did enjoy playing with that ukulele player, Colin, from Worcester! What a wonderful evening!

We all have our ways of decompressing, relaxing and finding our 'zen zone' or whatever so I hope everybody finds their inner bliss this weekend and I hope everybody gets to hopefully stay home sweet home safe and sound! Maybe there's a little message of hope & peace in there for somebody out there that likes  music & the arts, &  meaningful online activity for whatever reason or rhyme there is to it.

For now I leave you with a healthy protest amongst musicians link..

Here I am again taking advantage of Data Report's site to push my masked way of life onto ya!

I'm a full-time masker outdoors outside my house. So far (probably because I mask and take lots of health precautions) Ive never been on the sick list of Data Report's 'List Of Performers Sick In 2026' tracking thread which is why I get to play here!

It has never been a better time to stay at home. Here's what one source of internet research says about playing music online:

"Musicians play online rather than onstage for virtual concerts, streaming sessions, or collaborative rehearsals, allowing them to reach global audiences from home, build community, and bypass traditional venue limitations, a trend accelerated by the pandemic but also a strategic choice for studio-focused artists or those preferring digital engagement over physical touring. This often involves livestreaming, creating pre-recorded videos, or using low-latency software to play together remotely, offering flexibility and direct fan connection without the pressure or logistics of a physical stage"

...That's music to my ears! So let's dive into the classical guitar world!

I got two pieces in a row to play for you from the safety of my den...

Lagrima (which I think is Spanish for "Tears")
by Francisco Tárrega (1852–1909) a pivotal Spanish composer and guitarist who revitalized the classical guitar, elevating it from a folk instrument to a concert instrument through his innovative teaching, compositions, and transcriptions of major works, ultimately becoming the "father of modern classical guitar
&
Allegro In A minor by Mauro Giuliani (1781–1829) was one of the most prominent guitar virtuosos and composers of the early 19th century, often referred to as the "Paganini of the Guitar"

It's been a hard winter for everybody I imagine. I am worn out from snow shoveling paths through the yard and then the trucks would plow the road forcing me to have to reshovel my drive  again each time they drove by but it could be worse...I'm pretty beat for now but I guess I'll recover. I'm not sick! I masked and we made it through so I should thank my lucky stars and be grateful for what health I got and do a little pro mask concert stay at home concert to celebrate getting through the snowstorm. Once again lets take advantage of Data Report's site to push my masked way of life onto ya!

Its been rough so lets be rebellious and play some wild Jazz, Blues, and Swing for ya on my old classical nylon string guitar! Ive had this guitar since I was 16 years old! Under my bandanna I wear a big clunky respirator mask outdoors when I tackle my chores and errands and I have big old clunky guitar that's survived since I was 16, and I wear a bandana over an old old clunky head that has survived 55 years thus far .. nothing like old clunkers that survive ...

Now for some rebellious Jazz in C7 on nylon string! My old trusty classical guitar

Now I'm doing a 'Stay In & Play it Safe From Your Home Concert' just cause it helps me! Its my way of coping and dealing with frustrations so I thank Data Report and you all for letting me play some music for ya!

This winter has been hard for a lot of people.. I'm doing well enough but Ive got to fix a leak next to the water pressure tank. Ive got to empty a little tub of water every couple hours..I set a timer and every two hours even if I'm sleeping I get up and go empty a little tub if water..lol... I'm cool... its an art form I discovered I can empty the tub of excess water into the nearby washer then hit the drain cycle on the washer to get rid of the water so I don't have to carry bucket of water outside or to the toilette down the hall! This should do the trick until I get the bicycle inner tube just right and the clamps on the pipe at just the right angle..lol

then Ive got to fix the car.. its not always easy... I have a hard time fixing stuff..Sometimes I hate it..it requires tremendous patience and lots of endless experimentation and resourcefulness. It's hard and I have a hard time not cussing and just getting tired of it all but I'll figure it out and fix it...I just have to take a lot of breaks and keep coming back to it until I figure it out.

..yeah its just been one thing after another. I feel I can't just let a plumber in because I have to try to fix it myself. I'm a masker and so its hard but I prefer struggling and fixing things myself..

..I may not be the world's greatest handy man but it could be worse. At least I'm not sick or on trial and haven't done anything illegal or anything like some people in the news right now..lol! There's nothing in my past that haunts me ...I always have to remind myself at least I'm not a president, king or a big-shot..lol.. much better to have my little troubles... yeah I'm glad I'm little old me..

...now I get to play music to let off steam and to soothe the savage beast in me so to speak! So I just play because I love to and it helps me get through hard times and stress. Here's me on an old Yamaha classical guitar I got for Christmas when I was 16 years old!

Rather than leave my home to seek attention  I am happy and prefer to simply play from home , You are the people I chose to play for. I hope you all find something that helps keep you safe and happy when things get to ya...Music is a way of life for me and I'm always happy to get to play and share what I love online!

Here's some blues I mix a little flamenco guitar stuff into...

OH! Let's play an old guitar people rarely play... and old Harmony Archtop the exact model my dad used to have.  While I'm not playing hardcore Rockabilly I still hear something Rockybillish coming out of this guitar when I play.. There's something about a guitar from the 50's that still has that hint of Rockabilly in its tone and style regardless....

(Update: Feb 12th I was able to get the car to idle again .. I think it was loosely seated spark plug wire so little by little I get through stuff .. now for for the plumbing.. its always something.. baby steps is the key for me

Update: Feb 15th was able to buy some time and fix a leaky pipe with some had rubber and pipe clamps ..I sat on an old skateboard in my mask in the damp moldy corner and had a nice ratchet to tighten the clamp ... took several days of trying. Now I can rest a little although its all just temporary)

There's a handful of musicians out there not playing regularly in public anymore ...

"The Minnesota Music Educators Association (MMEA): The organization canceled its in-person 2026 Midwinter Convention (scheduled for Feb 12-14, 2026) in Minneapolis, citing a "climate of fear and uncertainty" that made it impossible to safely gather, ensuring the safety of vulnerable students and educators."

"Boston Philharmonic: For the 2025-2026 season, the organization continues to offer high-quality live-stream options for their concerts at Symphony Hall for those who prefer to watch from home, adhering to specific health and safety policies."

"Individual & Independent Artists: Reports indicate that many independent musicians continue to take a cautious approach to touring, citing that COVID-19 remains a "daily existential threat" to their health and livelihoods, leading some to limit in-person interactions, such as skipping meet-and-greets or requiring strict masking backstage."

Then there's me Richard The Masked Man..There's never been a better time in history than to just be a nobody! Lemme tell ya the last thing on my mind would be leaving my den! I ain't going nowhere brothers and sisters I'm just gonna sit here and pluck a guitar at home for ya! Let's mess with this old Harmony It might be a 1957 guitar.. Its got super heavy strings on it and I tuned it down just a little but lets see if I can lay some jazz on ya for kicks!

By the way I'm not the only one not playing in public...

"As of early 2026, the lingering effects of the pandemic—compounded by soaring travel costs, health concerns, and logistical hurdles—continue to affect touring schedules, with several artists canceling or pausing live performances.

Here are the key artists and trends regarding 2026 tour cancellations influenced by the ongoing challenges of the post-COVID live music industry:

Neil Young: Canceled planned 2026 tour dates with Chrome Hearts in the U.K. and Europe, with a message on his website indicating that "this is not the time".
The Rolling Stones: Reportedly canceled plans for a 2026 U.K. and European stadium tour, as Keith Richards decided not to commit to the physical strain of a major run.
Glenn Hughes: Canceled his Spring 2026 U.S. tour due to a health issue requiring care, following years of relentless touring.
Twisted Sister: A planned 2026 reunion tour was canceled.
Dry Cleaning: Postponed their January/February 2026 U.S. tour to May, citing "increasingly hostile economic forces" that have made touring difficult for mid-sized acts.
Town Mountain: Announced they will be stepping away from touring following their fall 2026 run.
Matthew Sweet: Canceled all tour dates in late 2025/early 2026 to focus on health recovery.
Arlo Guthrie: Reports suggest he may be done with touring to focus on health.
The Who: Roger Daltrey has expressed doubts that the band will ever tour the U.S. again due to high costs and insurance issues, which have become more difficult since the pandemic.
Roy Wood: Stopped touring with his band following the pandemic.

Context for 2026 Tour Cancellations
The touring industry in 2026 is facing a "paradox" where, despite a boom in stadium acts, many others are struggling due to:

Rising Costs: High gas prices, airfare (up 42%), and hotel costs.
Labor/Supply Shortages: A shortage of experienced crew members and rising wages.
Visa Issues: International artists are avoiding U.S. tours due to high costs and complex visa processes.
COVID Concerns: Ongoing health risks, with some artists still cancelling to prevent the spread, as reported in late 2025."

Now Ive got an appointment coming up to take Masked Woman for preliminary pre surgery appointment for Gall Bladder...

I just can't stand going to doctors because of the sick people and the exposure!. We wear masks and its scary because I just don't want to risk exposure to illness. But last time was okay I guess and the nurse and doctor wore masks for us.. I hate the waiting room because its awkward trying to avoid maskless people. Sure would feel safer and more equal if everybody just wore masks for their health and mine! I admit I'm sick of their faces and I'm wearing a mask and its a healthcare place! Wear a mask outta respect for illness transmission and for the sake of medical science! I can't stand those maskless faces in healthcare where often sick people gather.
At least I got the plumbing fixed well enough we won't come home to a puddle and she and I will be able to throw clothes in wash and then shower immediately after doctor's appointment.
I got the car running after the big snow storm as it had a lose spark plug wire... although I confess I couldn't get it to get inspection and its registration expired... its a short distance I do have insurance, I'll have the car title on my person and a good driver's license and I just have to chance it because this is medical and I gotta take Masked Woman to her appointment...
So its nerve-racking for me...Right before the appointment..out of sheer nervousness, I'll have to go the bathroom a hundred thousand times(because I don't want me or her getting sick around maskless people) and then make sure Masked Woman's mask is on good and everything is in order to protect us from catching an illness at a Doctor's surgery office...  But we'll be masked and I have a bottle of rubbing alcohol I discretely spray and disinfect stuff with.

So to simply get through the night and fight stress I decided to play electric guitar throughout the night! Here's a stay at home, play it safe, online jam session for ya...

I gotta try what everybody with an electric guitar tries to do.. see if I can play tons of notes even some notes at random and also add some echo and some flanger effects!

UPDATE: just got back from pre-surgery appointment. Doctors and nurses were happy to mask for us. I simply say "we prefer you mask for us if that's alright" and they do. But its ends there. People are stupid in the sense they don't respect microscopic entities and they don't think in terms of long term repercussions. The maskless receptionist was coughing up a storm. The people in the waiting room are maskless (fortunately they usually keep their distance).. its just pathetic. All I can say is believe in yourself and your right to defend yourself with a mask. I will say so far doctors and nurses do mask when I request "we prefer you mask for us if that's alright". From my perspective, One good thing about  covid (if one cans say anything good about it ) is it made masks more acceptable and doctors and nurses more willing to put them on when requested to do so. In addition to masking, I think spraying disinfect and treating your clothes and body like it is contaminated helps so wash clothes when you get home and wash body taking your mask off last.

You gotta believe in yourself and make requests for individual doctors and nurses to mask when they approach you. How many of you can raise your hand and say you haven't gotten sick with any contagious illness in 6 years? I can because Ive been masking and taking a lot of precautions .. so I just trust my myself. So far doctors and nurses and most people don't show the slightest bit of interest in the fact I haven't caught an airborne illness or airborne disease in 6 years. That lack of interest tells you everything...They are separate from me and my interests. They aren't inquisitive and don't inquire why or how me and my 77 year old loved one have not gotten sick in over 6 years.. It tells you they aren't really interested .. it tells you to protect yourself with mask and do what you can to get the doctor and nurse to mask for you but leave it at that because they aren't interested in hearing my success or what a mask can achieve. They aren't interested in success rate for the mask. That's all there is to it.

Like I said we were masked the doctor and nurse masked when they entered our room upon or request but the maskless receptionist was coughing(masked woman noticed the receptionist coughing ) the guests in waiting room were maskless.. people seeking surgery can have all sorts of health problems and this is a healthcare environment so everybody should do what they can to take precautions and mask for one another... people who are about to have surgery shouldn't be sick or risk getting sick prior to surgery. You certainly aren't supposed to do surgery on someone who has or comes down with the flu. Not to mention we might still be in a flu season although I mask year round anyway publically for my own health, for my loved one and for at risk people and people about to receive surgery.

I did  meet a doctor who masked for us at hospital and he said he masked because he didn't want to take anything from the hospital and give it to his newborn baby(what does that tell you about germs and hospitals!?) Again How many of you can raise your hand and say you haven't gotten sick with any contagious illness in 6 years? I can.. I haven't been sick in six years because Ive been masking and taking a lot of precautions. I don't take advice from anyone.. why fix what's not broken?? Why mess with success!? I wear a mask!
