Mask matters: comparing surgical masks vs n95 masks

SUMMARY:
With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, wearing a mask has become a daily routine for many of us. However, with so many different types of masks available in the market, it can be overwhelming to choose the right one for you. In this blog, we will take a closer look at two of the most popular masks - surgical masks and N95 respirators - and compare their features, benefits, and drawbacks.

Personal Note:
I personally don't see why people especially the health professionals don't just wear N95 Masks that are the most effective and fit the best in the long run.. I prefer the rugged N95 respirator type mask with heavy duty straps. I suggest practice doing some everyday tasks in your masks and training in your mask as well to acclimate yourself and to overcome any of the  personal challenges you might have in wearing a mask... practice makes perfect and wearing a mask requires physical as well as mental skills to be developed.

By far the greatest challenge is wearing the mask so that it doesn't slip or ride down off the nose especially once one starts doing everyday tasks and stress tests the mask. Another challenge for mask wearers is wearing or modifying things so it doesn't fog up your glasses etc. If you can try work out all these kinks in advance  you will be more comfortable while wearing mask...

...also I should remind you safety masks can be a powerful multifunctional tool/filter against all airborne illness and airborne disease as well as many modern day dangerous encounters we face. Take advantage of your mask wearing skill!  Wear the appropriate safety mask  when working in the presence of occupational and household hazards such as pollution, poison, mold, allergies, bad air quality, construction and repair projects, asbestos, animal nesting, and in some cases certain mask cartridges can filter out fumes and depending on your territory and circumstance evidently masks help around teargas...

...sorry if I disappoint anybody but lets not be naive, not everything was made or designed in this world with our health in mind.. Not everything was made in the best interest of our pink lungs and membranes, Not everything in this world was made to be breathed in... Rather than through your respiratory tract, learn to appreciate and take in the beauty of the world through all your other senses! The mask will not prevent you from loving the world and your life. The mask will enhance health, life and our abilities and senses to appreciate that which is around us.

...I can do anything in my mask even better, more effectively, and safer than the maskless can! I am impervious to many things in my mask and I can easily do things and go where no maskless mortal would dare go!
Master your Mask!,

P.S. Besides masking to prevent airborne Illness,  I can't tell you how many guys I know who painted or did sheetrock or worked with certain harmful substances for a living that aren't with us anymore... wear a mask to outlive them!
