SUMMARY - Researchers from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) have found biological differences in how the bodies of Long Covid patients fight the Covid-19 infection as opposed to patients who are able to rid themselves entirely of the infection. Analysis revealed clear differences in specific signaling pathways that appear to be the hallmarks of Long Covid. The team has initiated a phase 2a clinical trial of a drug that has been approved for atopic dermatitis to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of targeting one of the top pathways identified in this study.
