Masked Man's Side-Note:
For what it is worth, I live in NC...This is my state so I feel obliged to comment with my personal experience and viewpoints.
This is what happens when people don't wear masks! It's not easy for the Masked Man to be around these people. They are hard for me to be around. One in six North Carolinians have reported having long covid! That's no way to live! Again one is six people is a huge number, Not too mention if covid is underreported then it stands to reason that Long covid is also likely underreported. With one in six people in North Carolina reporting long covid I absolutely can't be wrong in suggesting mask usage.

It is easy to see that all sorts of working people and professional people here in NC that go maskless like healthcare people and emergency workers and veterinarians  are personally hard for me to be around. One in six is a huge number of people with long covid and these cases pile up and overlap one another as more long covid cases keep coming. In other words, that number of old cases survive and continue as new cases emerge that one in six member is bound to grow higher as time goes on, making it quite feasible that it will become 2 or even 3 in six people someday. This is a problem of a chronic nature that cuts down on the productivity of human exchange in the community and this is like dealing with a huge number of people who are at least partially impaired from this disease.

I can't tell you how many people I personally see from a distance through my window such as my mailman, my neighbors who just seem angry and at wit's end all the time and I can't help but speculate if more than one in six of these people I see in NC through my window are suffering from long covid because of their behavior. I am observing adults with behavior problems and many who appear to be run down or worn out and sickly looking on my street from a distance.

This is serious trouble in NC. This is why I don't leave my house. I do everything from home as much as possible and this is why I mask. I look forward to seeing more people in masks one day so they are safer, healthier, and happier together.
