SUMMARY - Was it a command or a recommendation? In court while defending itself in a case brought by three doctors, the FDA stated that doctors were allowed to prescribe Ivermectin for use in treating Covid-19. However, the FDA continues to assert that Ivermectin is not proven to treat Covid-19 and using the substance can lead to life-altering side effects.
COMMENTARY - Ivermectin is not recommended for use in treating or preventing Covid-19 infections. It is strongly recommended that people who are concerned about Covid-19 infections and their possible consequences should instead receive Covid-19 vaccinations which ARE proven to reduce the severity of Covid-19 illnesses and to exercise social responsibility (such as wearing a N95 mask while in public and limiting your social interactions) in order to reduce the chances of becoming infected.
