It appears that this new #SARSCoV2 strain circulating in Brazil is not BQ.1.1, but a new unrelated variant called BE.9 (#BE9). How pathogenic will it be?  How will people vaccinated with epitopes from the ancestral SARS-CoV-2 strain respond?  Open questions, let's follow up!

Tracking the new sub variant BE.9 in this thread. So far it has been found in Brazil.
