This is not good, and they are still dealing with the older XBB1.5 variant, I believe. It will be interesting to see if the rise in older variants generates a new variant.

SUMMARY - The official Covid positivity rate in the NCR (National Capital Region) of the Philippines jumped from 7.3 on April 16, 2023 to 10.6 percent on April 23, 2023. It is noted that the number of official tests have decreased and that only official tests are counted in the statistics. Nationwide positivity rate is estimated at 10 percent.
