SUMMARY - A former North Carolina Sheriff’s Office deputy, his wife, and two adult sons pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office Eastern District of North Carolina. They submitting false loan applications, which resulted in them getting $542,288 in COVID loan proceeds. Each of them will face a maximum term of 30 years in prison and a $1,000,000 fine when sentenced later this year. They will also be ordered to pay a Forfeiture Money Judgement of $542,288.
