… guess it all depends on where you happen to live insofar as whether health departments and healthcare facilities mention the scientifically proven merits and medical benefits of defending yourselves against airborne illness and disease with N95 masks.
While my Watauga county local health department doesn’t acknowledge or even list masks as a means of preventing whooping cough, This children hospital in Australia recommends masking
“To prevent the spread of whooping cough, ensure you and your family are up to date with immunisations and teach your child good hygiene habits like:
washing hands
not sharing cups
wearing a mask when sick
covering their mouth when coughing
cleaning and disinfecting toys used while sick…

…. Some countries recognize the power of this technology available to protect you that we call the mask while other countries and municipalities don’t recognize the n95 mask whatsoever as an available technology and means that can help prevent airborne illness and disease.
Advocate of the N95 mask,
The Masked Man
P.S. I did a search "mask" at https://www.apphealthcare.com and there was some mention of Masks at their website during 2020 and then they talk about masks in 2022, and that's all there is. Its like masks fell off the face of the earth after 2022 despite covid still being a problem as well whooping cough, influenza, etc. It's like what happen to using the n95 to help prevent airborne illness and airborne diseases!? If masks have been proven to help prevent airborne illness and disease then why not list masks as an option for people? Why ignore science and truth? N95 masks are part of today's technology.

COMMENT:
This is the county Masked Man lives in…
I highly recommend N95 masking as one of the ways to protect one another from this and other airborne illness in my county.
As a little girl, originally from Hungary during Hitler’s reign, My grandmother came to United States of America on a boat suffering from whooping cough. This disease was nearly eradicated until recent times. The fact that diseases like this are circulating nowadays is a scary sign of decline in the human condition.
Wear an n95 mask and I’ll be your friend in my county,
The Masked Man
Masked Resident of Watauga county, NC
P.S. in the article it mentions “The cases among vaccinated individuals have been milder, according to AppHealthCare.”
… to me, this means even vaccinated people are catching it and spreading it! I strongly suggest N95 masking even though AppHealthCare fails to mention the medical merit and the advantages that the N95 safety mask has to offer.
I really can’t think of a single reason why one wouldn’t wear a mask around whooping cough or covid. That’s just no-brainer. There’s somebody coughing their head off obviously suffering and 0peoole in healthcare aren’t gonna recommend puting a mask on!? What’s that about? Masked man thinks this is reckless, unsafe, and quite frankly stupid to say the very least. ??? Don’t breathe that sh*t in and don’t give it to your loved ones.
For those who take airborne illnesses seriously never belittle or fail to pay homage to the medical safety mask. The N95 mask is scientifically proven to greatly help prevent airborne illness and airborne diseases.
I do not sell masks nor do I have any commercial ties with masking… all I can say is please mask around people if you are serious (like me)about not getting an airborne illness and disease.
It’s ludicrous that healthcare facilities would fail to mention the N95 mask as a medically scientifically proven means of preventing catching and therefore preventing the spread of airborne illness and airborne disease. Shame on their omission. Why omit the fact that The n95 mask could save a lot of lives and save a lot of us from the torture of a disease!?
Wouldn’t it be more wise for a healthcare facility to say if you don’t wanna catch an airborne illness like whooping cough or you suspect you or someone you know has whooping cough, then don’t breathe on one another or breathe in the same air and wear masks to be on the safe side and make sure the healthcare facilitator also wears masks incase they catch it or spread it? It’s just not giving people all the facts by dismissing and omitting safety mask usage as a possible solution and perfectly viable and effective means to prevent airborne illnesses and diseases. Is the n95 mask not recognized in the medical scientific world!? Is the safety mask for airborne illnesses and diseases not doctor approved!? Lol… What have doctors learned about masks and hygiene since 2020 or so..
…did we learn nothing about how to defend ourselves with masks even as a covid pandemic threatens our very wellbeing , health mortality and our very sanity!? Hey doc, Why not at least put in a good word for the mighty n95 mask that allows us more safely to enter the chambers of those who are being tortured by illness and and contagious?
Take it from Masked Nan 6 years now of masking and not a single airborne illness .. not a single sick day in six years… If you just don’t want to take extra chances on catching whooping cough, covid, or any of the multitude of viruses out there readily available to you by the public then the Masked Man highly recommends masking! :)
I asked grandma what it was like to see the Statue of Liberty for the first time. She replied she had whooping cough and not even seeing the Statue of Liberty feels good when you have whooping cough.
