Title: Will North Carolina close a loophole regarding Raw Milk? Maybe...
Post by: Steve on June 24, 2025, 03:09:42 pm
SUMMARY - While it is currently illegal in the state of North Carolina to sell Raw Milk for human consumption, there are currently loopholes that it can be sold as "pet milk" or as part of a herd-share agreement. These loopholes may be closed if a bill, currently passing through North Carolina legislature called "The 2025 Farm Act, Senate Bill 639" is passed into law.

Raw Milk is hazardous for human consumption, as it can carry Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) along with other harmful substances because it is not pasteurized.
