Tuberculosis case reported in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.

I feel the school article (as most articles do) downplays the seriousness of this modern resurgence of Tuberculosis so I will take liberties to clarify the gravity of the situation and help establish what is at stake, Ive included some more of the risks and facts associated with TB and some extra facts to consider:
"Usually, the people who are most at risk of getting TB are those who have been around the case for long periods of time"
...COMMENT: That's precisely why we should be concerned about schoolchildren
Pediatric TB may involve the lungs or multisystem disease affecting the central nervous system, lymph nodes, skeletal system, and other organs. Diagnosing TB in children is particularly challenging due to its variable presentations, which can mimic other common pediatric illnesses.
“When people think of deadly diseases, they think of COVID-19, malaria, HIV and diarrheal diseases,” Barron said. “Many are surprised to find that TB kills the highest number of people in the world.”Feb 10, 2025
Tuberculosis was once a disease in decline, but a resurgence in cases has health officials puzzled. An outbreak of tuberculosis, or TB – a lung disease that is often accompanied by a hacking cough – began in January 2024 in Kansas City, Kansas, and two nearby counties and continues as of early March 2025.Mar 23, 2025
...COMMENT: That's a recent reassurance and that is justifiably scary. Equally alarming is the fact health officials are puzzled by this resurgence.
..I hesitate with saying "all is well" because typically anytime there is a recent resurgence of anything in history I think it wise to consider that exponential cases could prospectively skyrocket .. That's not the kind of compound interest we wanna disregard as petty. This most recent resurgence in Tuberculoses is not a trivial matter.
I'll show you how this works...Let's take another disease, For instance, whooping cough. My grandmother whose family fled Hungary during Hitler's reign told me she had horrible whooping cough as child traveling from Hungary on Boat to America and saw Statue of Liberty for first time. All my life whooping cough was just a story my grandmother told me ..
...Now I'm 55 years and all in a sudden Whooping cough is yet one more of several illnesses out there to contend with!? plus something new called covid , and what is MPox..oh. man!! !? I mean see what I mean?.. these are mean resurgences be like dodging a shotgun... bound to get hit by at least one of those nasty pellets of illness..what's this hand and foot disease? That's too many and that didn't exist for those of us born in 1971 and so forth..That's the reality is there's simply a significantly larger number of different illnesses circulating going on at the same time today... Oh what torture.. I hate human suffering... Then Tuberculoses makes a comeback and we still have mutations of covid... yeah a resurgence of anything is gonna tilt the human pinball machine at this rate.. resurgences of old diseases and illnesses is about as serious as serious gets. Let's not downplay old diseases and illnesses that make comebacks like that.
See, when I was born in 71 I remember my school years to a tee, I am of sound mind and fit body and back then the only thing was put in the chamber was a little cold, the flu, and the unbearable itchy chicken pox where ya couldn't stop itching or scratching endlessly. That's mere three measly illnesses back in my school years. Now it's like the last half a decade we've been hit by covid plus a blast from the past and resurgence of older diseases making a comeback plus speed/rate of travel combined with warmer climates exsaperating and creating favorable conditions for viruses... ya got at least five, six, or more bullets in the chamber for Russian roulette of infectious diseases nowadays.
Reduce number of airborne illness you put in the chamber for both you and me by wearing a mask like me, kids. Wear an n95 mask, it's worse today than it was yesterday, and doctors should say wear safety mask if you don't wanna get covid or TB like that kid in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schooldistrict,

Tuberculosis cases on the rise in NC after more than 30 years of decline.
Source of information.
1. WRAL
https://www.wral.com/lifestyle/health/tuberculosis-rise-nc-2025/
..NC is in my neck of the woods. Living amongst these demographics , illnesses comes to no surprise to me as I live somewhat in the tight-net Bible Belt of a mountain town that also sports a university and tourists and people that live here half the year from Florida plus a lot older people retire here... and on top of all that we got hit by Hurricane Helene(it displaced people and brought people more together in gatherings for hurricane relief) and so its no surprise at all as I would agree as the article says "Tuberculosis is often spread through coughing and singing and can spread in big indoor group gatherings like workplaces, arenas and churches".
The article also states:
"Part of the rise is a product of the COVID-19 pandemic".
&"We do think the COVID period impacted our rates because, in general, there was a reduction in people's ability to access preventative services," Turner said.
Masked Man would take it a step further noting that people are nice here too nice and they flock together as a community ...very trusting and helpful to one another totally selflessly yet unmindful of contagious diseases... none of my neighbor's or nearby facilities show they are very safe or mask oriented not to mention Masked Man suspects covid is also in the area and covid reduces immunity system as well creating for more illnesses anyway.
Then the article goes on to say:
"Turner stressed the tuberculosis vaccine doesn't offer much protection for adult, and there is no need to seek one out.
"In the United States we do not routinely vaccinate for tuberculosis," he said".
Masked Man says if all that Turner says is true in that case, MASK UP.. It's the best chance and sounds like the only chance. Its the one thing Turner could have suggested since he offers no other advice anyway as to how one can protect themselves against TB.
Another thing to note is that in this article there is no mention of anything that can help prevent TB from spreading to those that might come into contact with a TB victom.. in other words no advice to doctors or nurses nor to family people who must care for TB victims to not breathe tuberculosis in other words the article pretty much says there is nothing one can do: The article doesn't even suggest to not breathe tuberculosis in by wearing a mask with a filter around patients and victims. They can't even use the vaccine excuse for not wearing a mask when it comes to tuberculosis. Its hard to imagine but there are apparently a whole lot of unrealistic people with limited if any experience with tuberculosis totally out of line and totally out of their league that seem to erroneously think it's okay to go into the same room and breathe in the germs of a person with tuberculosis.
Sorry but to ignore the practical and life saving pragmatic use of safety masks while in the presence of a tuberculosis patient or a loved one with Tuberculosis is about dumb as dumb can get.
Anyway that's my comment since I actually live in NC close to these aforementioned counties. I also live with a 78 year old whom I protect and we Mask and enjoy our relative good health and our lives because of our precautions.
Be on the safe side wear a mask around airborne diseases,
Don't be an amateur,
