SUMMARY - The National Health Service (NHS) has issued a warning to United Kingdom citizens that Covid-19 is on the rise and to take precautions. Data from the United Kingdom Health Security Agency (UKHSA) as of the week up to 2024-10-09 (October 9, 2024) has Covid-19 deaths rising 27% in one week to 163 deaths with 2,622 hospital admissions. It is not known what Covid-19 variants are driving the rise.
