SUMMARY - People residing in the National Capital Region (NCR) in the Philippines experienced poor air quality today (2024-08-19) due to "vog," or volcanic smog from Taal Volcano. The area of Makati was worst hit with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 163 which is considered "very unhealhty" but other nearby areas had a range AQI range of 116 to 144.
