SUMMARY - The province of Iloilo is close to proclaiming a state of calamity for Dengue Fever, as 36 of its 43 local government units (LGUs) report rising cases of the disease. Iloilo province has registered 3,914 cases of Dengue Fever with an unknown number of deaths. For the whole island (called "Western Visayas" or "Region VI") where the province is located, there have been 10,188 cases with 23 deaths.

SUMMARY - An outbreak of Dengue Fever has been reported in the City of Ormoc (the city is officially called the "City of Ormoc"). 444 cases of Dengue Fever has been reported from January 1st through August 3rd, prompting city health officials to declare an outbreak. Officials cite that these numbers are 225% higher than for the same period last year (2023).
