SUMMARY - 19 people are now dead as the country of India continues to endure its worst Chandipura virus outbreak in over 20 years. The number of total cases of the illness in the country has risen to 59.

SUMMARY - 133 people are suspected of falling ill to the Chandipura virus in the state of Gujarat, 37 of which are so far confirmed. The disease has no vaccine and is considered most serious for children under the age of 15. It is considered the largest outbreak in twenty years.
