Title: USA, Michigan - HPAI detected in three dairy herds
Post by: Steve on April 14, 2024, 02:40:42 pm
SUMMARY - Dairy herds in Ionia, Isabella & Ottawa counties inside the state of Michigan (United States) have all been recently affected by HPAI (highly pathogenic avian influenza, also known as "bird flu"). A fourth herd in Montcalm county was affected because of cattle from Texas. Officials cite that the milk supply is safe due to pasteurization & regulations regarding animal health.

NOTE - Although similar, this article does not directly relate to the poultry farm in Ionia county that was affected by HPAI.
