SUMMARY - The dengue fever outbreak in Argentina has become so severe that the country is running out of a normally common item: Mosquito repellent. Also, the 2024 outbreak for dengue fever has been updated to 180,500 cases and 129 deaths.

SUMMARY - The country of Argentina is experiencing the "largest [Dengue Fever] outbreak" according to a director at the Malbran Institute, an organization tasked with developing medical and scientific policy in Argentina. Over 120,000 cases have been recorded so far, with 76 known deaths. In the first ten calendar weeks of this year, there have been ten times the number of cases compared to last year. Most cases occur between February and May which is Argentina's summer because it is in the southern hemisphere.
