SUMMARY -
The state of Connecticut has experienced 109 deaths from Covid-19 from August 1st, 2024, through October 5th, 2024. In that same time frame, 1,753 people were hospitalized due to the virus. As a point of reference, there were 14 hospitalizations for flu in that same time frame but no deaths. It must be added that influenza is most prevalent in the winter months (Late November through Early March) and so a direct comparison is not entirely accurate outside of that time period.
