SUMMARY - The cause for rare but harmful blood clots from the Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine has been discovered, according to scientists from McMaster University (Canada), Flinders University (Australia) and Universitätsmedizin Greifswald (Germany). The cause was a series of rare occurrences, starting with people people who have a certain inherited version of an antibody gene, repeated exposure to adenovirus and mutations in antibody-producing cells.
