SUMMARY -
Two Covid-19 antiviral drugs, nirmatrelvir and remdesivir, are losing their effectiveness against more recent Covid-19 strains as these strains are beginning to adapt defenses against them. These resistant strains of Covid-19 are able to be transmitted between patients although this transmission has only been demonstrated in hamsters and has not yet been observed in humans.
