SUMMARY - A South Carolina man has resigned his position as a School District Trustee after a federal grand jury returned a five-count indictment which involved charges of wire fraud and bank fraud related to COVID relief loans in 2020 and 2021. If convicted on all counts, the man faces a maximum penalty of 30 years in federal prison, up to three years of supervised release, and fines totaling as much as $1 million. The indictment also seeks forfeiture of any proceeds obtained as a result of the alleged crimes.
