Hochul press conference today produced these bits of information.
- Initial focus is subway and those commiting crimes
- Acknowledges need for health, religious, festival exemptions
- Acknowledges surgical and N95 masks are different than ski masks

Very few, if any, are wearing them and I think they will need to be constantly pressured going forward to allow those of us who wish to try to protect ourselves against airborne pathogens to do so. Hochul knows she's now on the radar of the COVID aware and the dance between our national march towards fascism and legislative/PR nuances regarding COVID will be in full swing in NY.
