USA, Michigan - HPAI detected in three dairy herds
« on: April 14, 2024, 02:40:42 pm »
SUMMARY - Dairy herds in Ionia, Isabella & Ottawa counties inside the state of Michigan (United States) have all been recently affected by HPAI (highly pathogenic avian influenza, also known as "bird flu"). A fourth herd in Montcalm county was affected because of cattle from Texas. Officials cite that the milk supply is safe due to pasteurization & regulations regarding animal health.

NOTE - Although similar, this article does not directly relate to the poultry farm in Ionia county that was affected by HPAI. Please refer to this post at the Data Report for more details on that event.
