SUMMARY - A poultry farm in the nation of Turkiye has been afflicted with an outbreak of HPAI (Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza), killing at least 211 birds and sickening an unknown number more out of the 790,000 birds. Authorities stress that this incident was isolated, that the eggs produced by the affected birds did not reach the consumer market and that there is no evidence of a wider outbreak. This incident is the first instance of HPAI infecting a farm in over one year.
