SUMMARY - Two indoor house cats died due to H5N1-infected raw milk & another sickened in late November 2024 in the state of California (nation: United States). The owner of the cats also fell ill after drinking the milk but was not tested for bird flu.

NOTE - As the incidents and deaths occurred in 2024, this post was not included in the "2025 US HPAI Tracking Thread."
