Spain Implements New Measures to Combat HPAI

SUMMARY - The nation of Spain has implemented new measures as of November 10, 2025, in an effort to protect itself from the spread of HPAI (Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza). As part of a national prevention strategy, the rearing of poultry outdoors is now restricted in officially designated high-risk and surveillance zones, where migratory birds present a higher likelihood of carrying the virus.
