Lake Wales Little Theatre Postpones Opening Weekend of “Unnecessary Farce” Due to Illness
LAKE WALES, FL – January 30, 2026 – The Lake Wales Little Theatre regrets to announce the postponement of this weekend’s scheduled performances of Unnecessary Farce.

Due to widespread influenza affecting a significant portion of the cast, the decision has been made to pause production to prioritize the health and recovery of the actors. The theatre is committed to presenting a high-quality production, and this brief intermission will ensure the cast returns well-rested and ready to deliver the performance the community deserves. “We are heartbroken to delay our opening, but the health of our cast and the quality of the show are our top priorities,” said Kara Wiseman, President of Lake Wales Little Theatre. “We appreciate our patrons' patience and understanding as we navigate this unexpected challenge.”
