Big Time Rush Cancels February 3 Bryce Jordan Center Performance

SUMMARY:
Big Time Rush has canceled their February 3 show at the Bryce Jordan Center, among others.
The band announced via Instagram on Tuesday that all dates of their College Dropout Tour are canceled because of health issues.
In the social media post, they explained that due to “doctor’s orders,” they have to focus on their health because of illness and injuries.
The canceled dates span from January 24 to February 13 and are part of the college campus leg of their In Real Life Worldwide Tour. The remainder of the tour will resume as usual on February 17.

Barry Manilow

announces lung cancer diagnosis, postpones January concerts

According to Manilow, doctors found "a cancerous spot" on his left lung, which will be surgically removed.

The singer said it was "pure luck" that the cancer was detected early, adding that his doctors do not believe it has spread. However, he is undergoing additional tests to confirm the diagnosis

‘Communicable illnesses’ cancel 1st Shelby council meeting of 2026

SHELBY — Lawmakers in Shelby will not meet Monday night.

Slated as Shelby City Council’s first gathering of 2026, the meeting was cancelled on Monday afternoon. Stacey Gunder, an administrative assistant for the city, emailed the public notice around 3:15 p.m.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances in an environment of active communicable illnesses, the Shelby City Council meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. this evening (Monday) is cancelled,” the notice said.

(While not really a performance cancellation or ill performer I will  post this public meeting here that was cancelled here because it is an important meeting that involves performing arts in that this organization  has a bearing on  reporting & preventing illness in the community held amongst some prominent important people who play an important part in our community)

This can stay here for now but if any more non-performance illness cancellations pop up I may start a thread for that stuff. Example, last year there were several illnesses that disrupted court cases/ trials. Maybe this year I do a tracking thread for that type of stuff.

Due to illness, today’s Noon Holiday Concert performance by the Fargo-Moorhead Opera has been cancelled. Lunch by Brew Catering will still be available for purchase, and holiday music will be played in the atrium.
