Trey Beard's Seminole debut delayed due to illness

One of the most anticipated additions, junior left-handed transfer Trey Beard from Florida Atlantic University, was slated to make the Saturday start against James Madison. However, he was scratched pregame due to illness.

“That stomach bug ... knocked him out,” Jarett said, adding, “It's just when you get that flu the way he did, stomach more than anything, it takes a little while to get your weight and your strength back.”

Though Beard is currently absent from the weekend rotation, Jarrett highlighted the importance of recovery.
