SUMMARY - Eight more people have died from measles and measles-like symptoms across the country of Bangladesh in 24 hours till 8am on Sunday (2026-04-26), according to a press release of Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). Since March 15 this year, 43 people have died of measles. During the same period, the number of suspected measles deaths is 216. From March 15 to April 26, 4,603 people have been infected with confirmed measles. During the same period, the number of suspected measles cases is 32,028.

SUMMARY - The number of measles cases in the country of Japan reached 362 in 2026 as at April 19, according to a preliminary figure released on April 28 by the Japan Institute for Health Security (JIHS). There were 57 cases reported for the week up to April 19, the second-highest after the previous week with 62 cases, according to the national institute. 71 per cent of the cases reported so far in 2026 had received one dose or none, or it was not known whether they had been vaccinated at all.
