SUMMARY - The nation of Israel has reported the tenth infant death due to measles since a measles outbreak in the nation was detected in May of 2025. Most of those deaths were healthy children with no underlying illnesses who were not vaccinated against measles.

SUMMARY - Citizens in the city of Perth, Australia, are advised that they may have been exposed to measles after an unknowingly infected citizen, returning from the nation of Dubai, went to a Christmas carol event at Shenton Park called "Voiceworks Carols in the Park" on December 10th. The citizen then went to several western suburbs of Perth in the following days.

SUMMARY - The Department of Health (DOH) of the Philippines on Monday urged parents and guardians to have children vaccinated against measles as Mindanao (the second-largest island of the nation) recorded a significant share of the country’s cases, with more than 2 million children targeted for protection under the government’s supplemental immunization drive. Data from the DOH showed that 2,172 measles cases, or 42 percent of the total reported cases nationwide, were recorded in Mindanao from Jan. 1, 2025 to Jan. 3, 2026.
