side comment: what a weird story… She “wrestled with her heart” even though she wasn’t 100 percent”!? She was sick and obviously was barely “cleared” by doctor to play.. nothing mentioned publicly as to what her illness actually is or was and then it’s like some glamorous testament of will that she was able to play like it was a divine matter that she was able to attend the wrestling match.
I guess we live in a fantasy world of super hero’s that overcome mysterious illnesses so their dreams come true and yet we don’t even know what illness she had.. what a weird way to live ..
..I hope school children don’t think this is the way the world works.. that’s just too much pressure.. kids don’t try this at home. If you feel unwell stay at home and don’t compete.. get well soon .. be gentle on yourselves .. talk about your illness and slow down be humble so you can fully recover.
Don’t be masochistic and push yourselves if your feeling ill. Don’t push your luck if you are ill.. real doctors wouldn’t typically advise you to exert yourselves when recovering from ‘illnesses’.
Don’t do things when you are ill or not fully recovered because it might be dangerous for you or others to do stuff when your not 100 percent good. This is just common sense to not take chances.
I don’t know what these pro wrestlers are thinking. It’s dangerous to do the gymnastics they do throwing each other over their heads when they aren’t 100 percent healthy. That’s scary they could really mess each other’s backs up or something. If there’s any chance they are sick at all they should refrain from showing off and doing dangerous moves in the ring.
Unless one has a psychological disorder with symptoms like delusions of grandeur or Unless they are on a suicide mission, to me it doesn’t appear normal, reasonable, safe, or advantageous to society for people to work or even drive or delegate while they are possibly sick or not of sound body or mind.
Just yesterday In my college university town traffic stopped. Somebody who wasn’t well and apparently had a stroke while they were driving and hit a tree and somehow didn’t run over a pedestrian or hit another car. Now that person is in a coma. That’s not to say this horrible accident could have been circumvented or that anybody knew they were about to have a stroke however one can’t help but criticize pro wrestlers and drivers who pose a threat to others when they don’t feel good or are sick and carry on as if they are immortal. It’s irresponsible to perform dangerous tasks if we are aware or suspect something or someone is malfunctioning.
Just like every medicine bottle has to put a warning label as to the contraindications, let this reply to this post serve as a caveat and warning to adults who might operate heavy equipment while distracted by illness or heavily medicated and we must warn children that the antics of pro wrestlers who are sick are not necessarily lawful or fair to others who are behaving responsible and don’t put others lives in jeopardy when ill.
