I gotta say on the side of a mountain my neighbors are very irresponsible with chickens... As Masked Man I take precautions anyway but often everyday a child of that family with chickens plays with a dog and tends to the chickens ..there's nothing I can do but it seems inevitable that maskless kid  (who doesn't even wash his hands) might get bird flu if their backyard flock gets infected. Flocks of birds like that are simply messy always shedding and scooting and scatting and its in their tail feathers and claws.

...It just seems like an accident waiting to happen when people don't mask around their poultry and their dog is running around in the same area. All these recent occurrences of children dying of avian flu makes me think of my irresponsible neighbors and their children. Naturally I keep my distance.

.. just a funky coincidence it just so happens The neighbor's maskless kid who plays with dog and chicken flock and doesn't wash his hands is from Mexico not that it matters where people come from  ..it goes without saying bird flu doesn't care who it infects or what country the people it infects are from. Getting bird flu is not gender or origin specific but I thought I'd note It's just a scary coincidence to witness not far from me a kid who is from Mexico tending chickens so carelessly without precautions every day and some other kid or person from Mexico just died from probably having done the same thing.

People are so out of touch with what's going on. Its so dangerous and yet to them its like they think they are living the good life or something... they just don't read.. they don't think.. people don't realize the risks and dangers. Its why I keep to myself masked and fairly isolated. I want to survive their mistakes. These are dangerous times and what you can't see like germs can really mess us up and even kill us. People need to be careful of one another. Its not just the kid its the whole family and their guests as well not being careful whatsoever around livestock.

They just don't see that their poultry and way of life is more dangerous than it used to be because of bird flu and all sorts of challenges. Its rough. They probably think I'm a freak for always masking and never socializing while I do only the menial backyard tasks always masking always keeping to myself which is my preferred mode of existence.  I'm safer that I make it uncomfortable for people that don't take precautions to be around me.
