lol...I'm sorry to laugh in the article it reads "Keys indicated that she's unwell when she avoided shaking hands"
I'm sorry but it's  not an indication that  someone is ill simply because they don't shake hands... I don't shake hands with anybody and I wear a mask and haven't had a viral infection in all the time Ive been masking for 6 years.....How's about  seeking more knowledge as to why you feel bad?

Try this for responsibility and self preservation
Go to doctors with mask on and
figure out exactly what precisely you are ill with especially if it's a "viral" Illness.

It might be a serious virus that you don't want to take chances with. You certainly don't want to take chances on giving it to anybody else! So go the extra mile and figure it out for. For  goodness sakes don't be a masochist and a glutton for punishment. Get off the stage, field or court right away if you not well enough to shake hands then get outta the limelight.

I don't understand these lack of self caring self preservation measures. If you feel sick. Get a mask on make a beeline home..  Then seek medical care get some diagnostic tests done... or at least start by isolating, resting, and staying hydrated. For God's sakes don't socialize.. or carry on regularly in sports or work. When starting to feel ill I suggest that it is high time for self nurturing and getting ready to seek outside help on the matter because you might really start feeling bad and be unable to care for yourself as many of those who fall prey to viral infections often need extra help in order to get better. Victims of viral Illnesses sometimes and often become to weak to safely get themselves the treatment they might need.

Viral usually indicates its involves a contagious virus often airborne.  Make some efforts to figure out what the illness is. At least determine exactly what viral illness it is so you can start treatment right away. Some viral illnesses are more forgiving than others. Some viral infections need treatment right away that can only be given by medical tests and qualified medical doctors and nurses.

Once you know exactly what viral infection you have you can start treatment and also are in a position to know how contagious you are and for how long and you can relay that info to those who may have made you sick as well as protect your household from making them sick.. more knowledge is better. The sooner the diagnosis and treatment the better for many viruses can have long term repercussions on health if not treated soon enough.

Bruno Guimaraes big doubt to face Athletic Bilbao as illness sweeps through Newcastle United squad

Source of information.

1. NUFC Feed.

https://nufcfeed.com/bruno-guimaraes-big-doubt-to-face-athletic-bilbao-as-illness-sweeps-through-newcastle-united-squad-1667985

With statements such as:
"here were rumours that Bruno Guimaraes wasn't 100% on Sunday due to feeling ill, and if that's the case, then keeping him on for 90 minutes was a crazy call by Eddie Howe."
&
"Our hope is that if Bruno isn't 100% then he doesn't play. Even if he's at 90%, just let him rest and get back to 100%."

... that's at least caring of the players ...This article actually showed some compassion. Although there wasn't any reference to him seeking medical diagnosis from any tests or a medical health professionals, the article at least shared the sentiment the player should go home.  It is refreshing to  to see a sports article actually criticize a coach and discourage a  player from playing while sick.

That being said, with statements such as "Eddie Howe has confirmed that Guimaraes is the latest player to be hit with the sickness bug going through the camp". ..we can only assume the whole team is ill and what the heck is the scientific name for "sickness bug" Doesn't anybody go to doctor and figure out precisely what this illness is that they are nicknaming "sickness bug"?

What is the scientific name for "sickness bug"!? Is that like an insect that flies around only certain players and then bites them making them sick!? Right blame it on the "bugs" and not each other.. lol When something gets so bad an entire team is creating nicknames for an illness they are sharing it might be time to start getting some tests done or at least some real diagnosis from a real doctor. lol

Seriously some of the possible long term repercussions and health complications from many viruses can be greatly reduced or even avoided by seeking medical attention as early as possible.
